Mrs. MacIntyre May 29, 2015
Dear families,
Hello there!
With only 18 days
of school left we will be very busy. We are still working hard in class but we
are also preparing for some well deserved fun!
Field Day is Wednesday June 10th. Mr.Ucci
is looking for volunteers to help run the stations. It starts at 8:40 am. If
you are interested please let me know. Your child should wear shorts, sneakers, a hat
and sunscreen that day. It starts straight away in the morning and runs until
lunch time.
The children have
been so excited about writing this week. We read a poem called Alligators
are Unfriendly by Jack Prelutsky. The children wrote opinion writing about
whether or not an alligator would be a good pet. They also wrote about what
animal would not be a good pet and which one would be a good pet for them. They
read them to the class and did an excellent job!
We are also
finding lots of things outside.. Insects, snakes, inchworms and eggs. There is
so much to see this time of year.
Reminder:
Thursday, June 25th
KINDERGARTEN GRADUATION
9:15 a.m. in the
multi-purpose room
Our Annual Picnic at Fort Wetherill follows
the graduation. You must accompany
your child on this picnic. All
family members are welcome! Bring blanket/chairs, lunch, drink and lawn games
to celebrate this special milestone with your child. I will come down there to
meet you all and wish you a happy summer!
I will no longer be sending home reading
bags... but keep up the reading!!! Please check around your home and make sure
you have returned all of your books to me and also all of your library books to
Mrs. Casey. Thank you in advance. This
is always a bitter sweet time of year. I have grown so attached to this little
group. I want to thank you for your support throughout this year. It has been a
wonderful class. I look forward to graduation!!
Have a great
weekend!
Mrs. MacIntyre
