K-3 Newsletter
                Mrs. MacIntyre
Dear Families,
March 28, 206

I hope  you all had a Happy Easter! I did not send a newsletter home last week because we had no school on Friday. The students had fun coloring an egg and making a container to bring it home in.
We finished up all of our letter of the alphabet. So there will be no more tongue twisters. We will begin making words and writing sentences in the morning with all the letters we know now!
We are working with recognizing vowels and how they make the syllables in words. The students are already counting the vowels in their names.. Ask them about it they know so much already!
In writing, the students are doing a great job writing poems and describing foods they like through poetry. They are very creative and really enjoy reading their writing to their classmates.
In math, we are working on showing different ways to make the same number, for example..”show me two different ways to make the number 8 using two different colors.” We are also working on solving number stories that involve addition and subtraction and are even writing our own number stories if we are up for the challenge.
We will begin this week or the beginning of next week with a new science unit involving worms.
We are done observing and studying our goldfish and guppies.
Is anyone interested in adopting Rainbow and Sparkles (our goldfish)
Or our 3 guppies?
You would have to have your own tank because I have to return the containers we have been using in class. Please e-mail me if you are interested and we can plan a time for you to pick them up! Thank you in advance.. We can split them up if more than one of you are interested.
Please let me know as soon as possible.
I hope you all have a nice week and that we see the warm sun soon!!
Sincerely,

Mrs. MacIntyre
